Training
Through Edulaw Training, Tanya Callman provides bespoke education law training to local authorities, individual organisations and conference organisers. Training days are fast-paced and informative, providing value for money and relevant updates on law, practice and procedure.
Training is provided on a bespoke basis, often in-house. Tanya is happy to train small groups or address large audiences. Topics include school admissions and exclusions, the Equality Act for schools and academies, special educational needs, trans issues for schools, disability and the Human Rights Act.
In particular, Tanya provides training to meet the mandatory training requirements for independent appeal panel members and clerks regarding school admissions. School exclusions training covers mandatory training requirements for the independent review panel member and clerks, or for SEND experts. Tanya also conducts training at large headteacher events.
Tanya additionally regularly chairs events such as the Education Law Association’s annual conferences. Tanya is very happy to discuss your individual training requirements and plan a day that best meets your needs.

The course materials, including the PowerPoint, are high quality and have enough detail to keep referring back to. I enjoyed Tanya’s style of course leading, despite being done virtually, it was interactive and had a personal feeling to it. Following the course I have used my new knowledge to review our policy and practice.”
